How many times do you think those depressing words rear their ugly head?
In fact what haven’t you done in your life, because of those nasty little words?
Well fear not, YOU have the power within you to completely obliterate them from your vocabulary!
The Past Does Not Equal the Present!

Today, I want to touch on four little words that rear their ugly heads in our minds on most days.
They are the most distasteful, disappointing, depressing, and frustrating words that we could say to ourselves. Yet most of us say these words repeatedly to ourselves without even knowing it. The words are….
“I’m not good enough”
There are multiple ways you could tell yourself you are not good enough. Whenever you’re thinking negative thoughts such as, “I can’t” or “what if this goes wrong” or “what if this person says that” etc etc, it comes from the “I’m not good enough” part of our brain.
Think for a minute. Think back over the last 5, 10, or 20 years. What didn’t you do? What didn’t you risk? What haven’t you tried yet?
It always comes back to these little voices of fear that run around inside your head.
Don’t let this depress you because you have the power, right now, here, today, within your mind, within your body, within your fingertips, to completely change your life.
You can start to achieve your goals and dreams.
Why do I think like this?
You may be asking yourself why. Why do I never feel good enough? Why do I feel that people are going to judge me? Why don’t I feel that I could do these things?
These are actually really disempowering questions.
Instead, I want you to try and get rid of those “why can’t I” questions and swap them to “how can I.
”How can I do that? How can I achieve that?
Standing in front of a mirror everyday saying, “I am great. I am awesome. I am amazing,” is not going to be enough for you to convince the little neural pathways in your head that you can actually do everything that you want to do.
However, making a note of everything that you are simply awesome at is a really good start.
Your challenge for this week, should you choose to accept it, is……
1) Take some time out of your week to sit and write down everything that you are absolutely brilliant at. Write down all the reasons why you really are anawesome person.
Start every sentence with “I am.” E.g. I am brilliant. I am awesome. I am gorgeous. I am the most enigmatic person in the world. I can do this. I can do that.
Just let it out, even if some of it is a little bit beyond your own belief systems.
Just write down all the reasons why you are an absolutely fantastic awesome person because you are!
2) Every time you spot those little negative voices in your head saying to you, “You are not good enough. You can’t do this. You can’t do that. Somebody else can but you can’t,” I want you to stop!
Stand up, break your pattern and say, “No! Go away negative thought pattern! These are the 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 reasons why I am awesome,” and recite your list out loud.
As loud as you possibly can!
3) This is absolutely the most important step. It all comes back to that little thing called an action.
Whatever it is you think you are not good enough to do, whatever it is you are holding back from, you have to do it.
I assure you that, once you do it, you will begin to get positive reinforcement.
Whether it be feedback from other people, how you feel about having done it yourself, anything that’s going on around you, it will back up why you did it and the reasons why it was a good decision.
You will get positive reinforcement. The more positive reinforcement you get, the more you will go out and do even more of what it was you originally thought you weren’t good enough to do.
What this technique teaches you to do is to laugh in the face of fear whenever you hear a little negative voice pipe up in your brain. You will get out there and do whatever it has you feared anyway!
I hope that this has inspired you and given you a kick up the bum to get out there and prove to the world that you and your message are needed in the world. We need you, OK? So get out there and be the best you that you can be.
