This is the second block where you provide some basic information. Before you can list your product on Amazon, you’ll spend on sample acquisition, product photography, graphic design, etc.

This block has two variables called Cost #1 and Cost #2, which are your case-specific costs. For instance, there may be inspection costs, intermediary costs (you may have an intermediary negotiating with your supplier), etc.

You don’t need to do anything in this block. The block will auto-populate and calculate the total variable costs based on the Advertising Block and Promotion & Giveaways Block. The block also automatically pulls the FBA Fees per unit from the Basic Information block in Step 1.

The Variable Costs Block gives the variable costs at a glance that you will use for calculating the Net Profits.

Step 3: Net Margin Calculations at Different Price Points

There isn’t much to do in this block. You just need to feed three different pairs of the product retail price and FBA Fees in the top two rows of the three columns. The rest of the fields are auto-populated from the blocks above.

Step 4: Gross Margin Calculation
