5 Key Steps to Build a Six (or Seven) Fig Online Lifestyle Business


An online lifestyle business is a business that funds your lifestyle.

Not a million dollar VC funded startup, or an idea that requires a trip to the bank with a business plan.

This is about creating something, preferably from a passion you already have, that you can run totally remotely from anywhere in the world.

This is about building something that generates enough monthly income for you to feel free to do what you love from where you love to do it. For you to have far greater choice over how and with whom you spend your time.

A lifestyle business is about putting your lifestyle first.

There are multiple ways to start and grow a lifestyle business. In my teachings I tend to focus on three key areas;

1. Building an ecommerce business
2. Building an information marketing business
3. Building a service based business

However it really doesn’t matter which model you choose the key steps to starting and growing your business are the same.

In todays episode I’m walking you through the 5 key steps to starting your online lifestyle business.

Whether you want a 6 figure, 7 figure or even an 8 figure business is up to you, but todays episode will start you on the right path.

Here’s a quick overview of the episode;

[2.43] – Only have a couple of hours a day to devote to building your lifestyle business? That’s the beauty of building a business that funds your lifestyle, you’ll probably need far less than you think!

[05.03] – Step 1 is about understanding the higher purpose for your business. Knowing your business ‘ideal’ will determine your market, your message, your brand etc. This is such an important part of the process and will guide you through every decision you make and help you to stand out from the crowd.

[11.22] – Step 2 is working out how you’ll communicate your brand message across the web. What’s your main thing? Where’s your main hub. We all get caught up in thinking we have to be all things to all people or everywhere at all times. Not true. Pick one main platform and deliver and distribute from there.

[15.15] – Step 3 is about building your assets. What will you sell? Don’t get overwhelmed thinking you have to set up lots of fancy pants funnels and tripwires and ladders and workflows etc. Just make a list of all the things you can sell as part of your brand and make them happen. Preferably start with one and grow from there.

[19.09] – Step 4 is where the rubber meets the road. Probably the hardest part of the journey and certainly the part that takes the longest and requires the most stretching of your comfort zone is building your authority. In this step I talk about 3 main ways to grow your brand and profile online.

[22.30] – Step 5 is the part I’m the worst at in my business, setting up systems, recruiting team members and automating tasks to make everything run smoother, faster and more efficiently. As quickly as possible we want to be in a position where we can outsource our lower value tasks so it’s an important step not to be missed.

I hope this helps give you the impetus to start building your lifestyle business now. It’s not going to be easy, but when was anything worth having easy? It is however fun, rewarding and well worth the effort!
