How to stand head & shoulders above your competition

How to Stand Head & Shoulders Above Your Competition

I’m so passionate about todays topic. I honestly believe this is the magic ingredient to ensuring your uniqueness no matter who you’re up against in your niche or industry.

If you can clearly define the higher purpose of your business, the whole reason for it’s existence and how it impacts your potential audience and customers and then communicate that through your brand, your content and your entire business ethos, no-one else can touch you!

You will shine like a beacon through all the noise online and easily attract the very people you want to resonate with.

Also because you’re so clear about what you stand for you’ll find it easy to create content and dominate your online communication channels.

In today’s episode I’m highlighting some incredible brands who epitomize this strategy and giving you 5 key questions to ask yourself so you can get absolute clarity over your brand ideal. I dare you not to get super excited about your business and brand after this episode! 😁

Here’s a quick overview of the episode:

[01:00] – This whole epiphany of how important this is to brands actually came from a piece of homework I was helping my daughter with!

[02:50] Examples of amazing brands who communicate their brand ideal through everything they publish online.

[06:41] How Simon Sineks Ted Talk – Start With Why, talks about this very strategy and gives even more great use cases throughout the last century.

[09.29] Step 1 – What do you stand for? What are your values? Here I’m discussing the values of my business and how you can start to think about the real purpose of your business.

[10:15] Step 2 – How can your brand products and service improve your target markets’ life? What impact do you want to have? What transformational value can you offer?

[10:59] Step 3 – This is probably the most important of all questions. What are the five emotions that you want people to feel when they come across your brand? What visceral reaction do you want people to have when they first come in contact with your brand?

[12:53] Step 4 – What is the deeper reason for people wanting to use your products or services? Also, a very important question.

[13:52] Step 5 – How can you translate all the answers to those questions into the content that you create and publish?

[14:34] This isn’t just theory, it’s biology. How the brain processes the feelings it has vs facts it may be given.

[18:58] Summary of the session and break down of the 5 questions.

As Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said and what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”

I really do believe this subject is so important and I’m fairly sure this won’t be the last you’ll hear from me about brand ideals.

I hope it helps you to get super clear about your brand, your market and your content and stand head and shoulders above your competition. 😁
