Ok, let’s talk about AI.
I’ll spare you my opinions about how dramatically I believe AI is going to change the world, or whether I believe it will dwarf our own intelligence levels and wipe us off the face of the planet (I honestly don’t know).
Instead, let’s look on the bright side of life (queue song) and talk about how you can use AI to help build a fabulous lifestyle business you can run from anywhere in the world!
Here are 5 ideas out of literally hundreds of increasingly clever suggestions I see online:
1. AI Writer/Editor
Perhaps the most obvious and, without doubt, most needed job right now is that of an AI Writer. You might be asking ‘well isn’t that exactly what AI does Jo?!’
The answer is clearly, yes. But, for most bloggers, social media marketers, copywriters, etc., AI doesn’t do a great enough job yet.
Sure, I can bang out a blog article in all of 3 minutes these days, but to fact check, ensure everything in the article is correct, edit the intro, tighten the summary, and add some personalization takes time.
That’s why, on my team, I now have a writer who specialises in creating AI content.
Here’s how to get started;
- Learn how to use ChatGPT and other AI writing tools. My favourites are Koala.sh for long form blog posts and Jasper for marketing, social media, copywriting etc
- Become a master at AI writing
- Advertise your services on Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, etc.
Trust me, there are very few offering this on Upwork at the moment. Your services will be snapped up!
2. KDP – Kindle Direct Publishing
Use ChatGPT or any other AI content tool to create journals, guides, colouring books, recipe books—you name it—and sell them on Kindle.
Midjourney can help create amazing images for any kind of book that might require pics. Even Canva now has its own built-in ‘text to image’ function you can use for illustrations for recipe books, childrens books, fitness guides etc.

3. Print on Demand
If you’ve ever been intrigued about starting a print on demand business on Etsy, Zazzle, or Redbubble but have been put off because you’re not a designer, worry no more!
AI image tools such as Midjourney can help you create incredible and unique designs with a simple command.
Here’s how to get started;
- Research the market for popular niches
- Choose your niche & create your designs
- Use a marketplace like Redbubble or Zazzle, or create an Etsy store and integrate with Printful or Printify
- Design, sell, tweak, add more designs, sell more!
4. Any Kind of Content Business
- Copywriting
- Ebooks
- Newsletter
- Social Media
- Video Creation
- Podcasting
- Graphic Design
Any kind of content business in which you’ve always been the bottleneck due to creative blocks can now be pursued!
If you want to write ebooks for example, you become a master at research and outlining, and use AI to help you create the meat of the content.
If you want to start a weekly newsletter, use ChatGPT to help you brainstorm topics for your audience and even help write your first drafts. Then use it to create tweets or posts to engage your audience and attract subscribers.
I’ve already talked about designs, but even video creators are moving at lightning speed. Check out apps such as Pictory.ai or Fliki.ai to turn written content into ready made videos for YouTube or TikTok.
Also, if you’ve ever thought about starting your own podcast but hate the sound of your own voice, text to voice apps can turn your writing into an AI voice of your choosing!
Use ChatGPT to create your podcast episode in text and use a voiceover app to record it, and hey presto, hello podcast episode.

Crazy stuff!
5. Tech Products
I left this one to last, as I don’t have a tech bone in my body. But if you lean more towards coding and programming and think of Python as a computer language model rather than a snake, then using AI to create tech products might just be your jam!

Your Challenge!
If you’re still only thinking about starting your own lifestyle business or side hustle, pick one of the options above and devote just 30 minutes a day to it this week.
Get up 30 minutes earlier, go to bed 30 minutes later, or step away from Ted Lasso and give one of these ideas a try.
Who knows where it might lead?
If you’re already on your journey and growing, how can you incorporate AI to make some of your tasks easier? What are you doing now that you could be doing in half the time with a bit more automation?
Whatever you do, have fun! After all, we could be completely overtaken by robots sometime in the next few years, so you may as well get your kicks while you still can.
That’s me for this week. Have a good one and Make It Happen!
Jo 😁
